Overcoming appalling race conditions - which caused the Japanese Round of the WEC to be dramatically foreshortened - Gulf’s motorsport partners, Aston Martin Racing (AMR) have won both GTE classes of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) Six Hours of Fuji, Japan, with their Gulf-liveried #97 and #95 Vantage GTEs, and also took second place in the GTE Am class with their #96 car. |

“Endurance motorsport can subject the race cars to all different types of extreme running conditions and, in those such as the shocking wet weather at Fuji this weekend, it is critical that key areas of the car are kept in top running order, foremost amongst these being engine, gearbox and brakes,” comments Gulf Oil International Brand and Marketing Manager, Sam Cork. “Gulf is proud to supply products in all three areas, for Aston Martin’s factory race cars and everyone at Gulf would like to congratulate AMR on another fine result.” |
The Six Hours of Shanghai, China, the penultimate round of the WEC, takes place at Shanghai International Circuit on Saturday 9 November.
