Gulf Marine’s teams took part in 2017’s Hong Kong Trek

As a partner of the Sailors’ Society, Gulf Oil Marine continued to support the Hong Kong Trek this year, which was held on 28th October on the Hong Kong Island.
The new 16.5-mile route starts at Big Wave Bay Beach, which trekkers taking on the Shek O road, Tai Tam reservoir and Tai Tam road before reaching the final line at Repulse Bay.
Five groups of Gulf Oil Marine’s colleagues based in Hong Kong went on an expedition to raise money for the Sailors' Society. They tackled the challenges themselves and raised total of $72,000.
An awards reception was held in the evening, celebrating the fastest teams and highest fundraising efforts. Gulf Oil Marine’s "Happy Feet" team completed the trek in second place and was presented a trophy in the ceremony. All trekkers enjoyed the trekking and had funs in the evening. |
Congratulations to all trekkers who have made such amazing effort training for the trek, competing on the trek and raising an incredible amount for those seafarers in need. Also, we would like to thank again all volunteers for their kind supports on the event day.
