Gulf Oil Marine Lubricants Now Available at Iskenderun Bay!

Gulf Oil Marine, through our partner in Turkey, has recently started delivering lubricants both inland and off-shore to the vessels calling port, Iskenderun Bay, South-eastern Turkey, with our newest lube barge Yenikapi 1.

Yenikapi 1 took off for Iskenderun on March 5, 2014. With this move, Gulf Oil Marine which has set crude oil tankers calling Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline as a target market, becomes the first company to offer a solution to the demand for marine lubricants in this region, responding to a problem that had never been addressed for many years.

Gulf Oil Marine newest lube barge: Yenikapi 1

The 1,768 kilometres long BTC pipeline, which pumps Caspian oil to the Mediterranean region through Turkey’s Ceyhan Port, attracts a significant amount of vessel traffic, especially from crude oil tankers transporting the oil pumped through the pipeline to the rest of the world. An estimated 50 million tons of crude oil is transported from Botas-Ceyhan Port by around 500 tankers annually.
