Germany |
Gulf Oil Marine’s eighth Transition Seminar was held in Hamburg on 6th March.
As with the other seminars in Gulf Oil Marine’s 2020 seminar series, the seminar served to work with the local customers regarding the preparation and implementation planning for their ships’ compliance of the 2020 regulations.
The overview of IMO 2020 regulations, challenges facing the ship operators and various compliant solutions meeting the 0.5% Sulphur cap were shared at the seminar.
Gulf Oil Marine’s Senior Technical Manager, Mr. Graham Calder also introduced the 2020 Ship Implementation Plan Toolkit (website: gulfmarine2020.azurtane.com) to our German customers. It’s easy-to-use and comprehensive; it has various sections and guidelines for ship operators to plan and document their fuel compliance and corresponding lubrication transition plans for 2020.
The seminar generated strong interests from our customers; and there was some exchange of ideas at the Q&A session. A good majority provided positive feedback, saying that the seminar was useful and that it provided useful and practical guidance for their 2020 transition planning. Customers expressed keen interest to work further with Gulf Oil Marine on the 2020 Ship Implementation Plan.
Gulf Oil Marine will be presenting its next Transition seminar for Italy-based customers in Rome on 12th March 2019.
