Built in 1958 at the Norbiskrug Shipyard in Rendsburg, MS Bleichen is the only surviving vessel from a series of 20 sister vessels.
With financial support from many private parties, shipping companies and volunteer members, MS Bleichen was successfully repaired and passed the shipyard trial on the Lower Elbe in November 2017.
MS Bleichen no longer sails with general cargo, but is carrying guests instead.
