The Sailors’ Society’s fifth annual Hong Kong Shipping Dinner was held successfully at the Conrad Hotel, Pacific Place, on Thursday 3rd March. More than 175 people from the Hong Kong Shipping Industry attended in support of the world’s seafarers.
The glittering evening raised a massive HK$230,000 (approximately £21,000) for the Sailors’ Society. Funds raised at the dinner will go towards rebuilding homes for survivors of Typhoon Haiyan, as part of the maritime welfare charity’s ongoing Rebuilding Philippines programme.
