Service update in North America due to severe weather

-----Update on 11 Sep-----

Service and operations at Gulf Oil Marine/Sealube Marine’s North America headquarters in Houston has resumed to normal.

-----Update on 7 Sep-----

Services at Gulf Oil Marine/Sealube Marine’s North America headquarters in Houston has been mostly resumed.

All major highways are now open within the Houston area. Lanes of Interstate 10 at Texas-Louisiana state line has reopened partially where authorities are allowing trucks to pass. Road transport within the area shall be fully resumed over the week.

The Houston ship channel is now open. The Port of Houston and some other ports are allowing critical vessels into the port with some restrictions to other vessels while other ports remain closed. Overall, we expect a backlog of orders and high initial demand for all Texas ports; deliveries and services will be subject to inquiry.

 -----Update on 1 Sep-----

Gulf Oil Marine/Sealube Marine’s North America headquarters in Houston reopened on 31 Aug CDT. Some of our staff members will continue to work from home, depending on the circumstances. Please continue to expect minor delays in order processing for USA, Canada and Panamas as telecommunication services gradually resume.

Many roads, including major highways along the Texas and Louisiana coast, are still flooded and closed or partially closed. Deliveries and services within the area will continue to be affected.

As roads and ports will be reopening over the next few days, we expect a backlog of orders and high initial demand. Deliveries and services in Texas will be subject to inquiry.

-----Update on 29 Aug-----

With Hurricane Harvey barrelling into Texas, conditions continue to be severe. Main roads are flooded and closed. Rain and power outages continue. Bush International airport has cancelled 3,000 flights over the past few days.

The Houston ship channel is closed. Our blend plants and delivery services in Texas are also shut down. Luckily all our partners’ and our own employees are safe at the moment. Please note that all deliveries and services in Texas will be suspended until further notice.

Due to road flooding, Gulf Oil Marine/Sealube Marine’s North America headquarters in Houston is currently not accessible. Our staff will continue to work from home as usual where conditions permit. However, due to unstable telecommunication services, please expect delays in order processing for USA, Canada and Panamas.

We will closely monitor the situation and report the latest here. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
