Technical Seminars in Vietnam

Gulf Oil Marine together with our partner, Alliance Maritime Joint Stock Company, completed our joint technical seminars on Sulphur Cap 2020 in Ho Chi Minh City and Haiphong this week.
Around 80 ship owners and ship operators attended in two seminars totally.
Gulf Oil Marine’s Senior Technical Manager – Asia Pacific, Mr. Irwan Jaafar shared the overview of IMO 2020 regulations and the challenges facing the ship operators adopting to use the low-sulphur fuels for 2020 compliance given that the deadline is now about than 4 months away (see gulf-marine.com for countdown). He explained how our 2020 Ship Implementation Plan Toolkit (website: gulfmarine2020.azurtane.com) can effectively assist ship operators to plan their 2020 transition solutions for their vessels.
Mr Irwan also took the opportunity to introduce Gulf Oil Marine’s innovative technologies with our partner Azurtane. Our new vessel efficiency monitoring system enhances vessel performance, including fuel efficiency; helping customers save costs and at the same time doing our part to protect the environment.
Participants were fully engaged and found the information useful. Some of them showed keen interests in our transition solutions and further discussed their particular technical issue with our onsite technical representatives after the seminar.
