Today is June 25th, it is the Day of the Seafarer

Gulf Oil Marine celebrates the Day of the Seafarer. As we celebrate, we want to publicly thank seafarers for their service and the sacrifices that they make and recognize the seafarers’ roles and the need to safeguard their wellbeing and the working conditions. This year’s Day of the Seafarer campaign theme is, “Faces of the Sea”; it aims to highlight the individuals that are often unseen, but who work to deliver more than 90% of the world’s goods. The campaign calls on all of us to help highlight the sheer diversity and scale of products that travel by sea, which are used in everyday life, and to recognize the importance of the more than 1.5m seafarers that deliver them.
