Gulf Oil Marine has served as an Official Sponsor of the ‘Shipmanager of the Year’ in the Lloyd’s List Asia Awards 2012, which was held on 8th November in Raffles City Convention Centre, Singapore. This award recognises the manager that has provided the highest quality of safe and professional vessel management services while at the same time controlling costs and ensuring efficient running of its client’s fleet. This year, we are glad that the award winner of ‘Shipmanager of the Year’ is Univan Ship Management. It is an historic and respected company and has significant business grow last year. Univan established new working relationships with some of the highest quality and most forward-looking shipowners. They introduced a raft of improvements to its operations, including more specialisation, better IT and quicker response time.
